Removing Wrinkles: Do Wrinkle Creams Work?

You’ve thought about it, you’ve asked yourself, you’ve asked others, you’ve asked Google, you’ve asked clerks & cashiers, and now you want an answer to that oh-so important question do wrinkle creams work? In short, yes they do! However, that answer does not cover every wrinkle remover cream on the market. As a matter of fact, you’d be lucky if it refers to half of them!

You heard correctly they work, but they don’t all work. In all honesty, many of them are just cheap knock-offs created by greedy companies trying to make a buck. And, unfortunately for you, those cheap knock-offs make it hard to find reliable anti wrinkle creams because they crowd the market like an elephant crowds a room.

However, if you do happen to find a quality wrinkle remover cream (don’t hold your breath — it could take awhile), you’ll see for yourself just how effective it can be.

An important thing to remember is that each wrinkle removing cream works in it’s own way. They won’t all provide the same results, nor will they provide results within the same time frame. Anti aging wrinkle cream, for example, can take awhile to start producing results for a user. Although the cream will start working from the second it is applied, it takes quite a bit of time for the human eye to see what has been accomplished.

On the flip side, if you were to use instant anti-wrinkle cream, which typically starts working within minutes, you’d get fast wrinkle removal at the cost of longevity. In this case (as well as with most others), you’d have to choose between “fast & short term” or “slow & long term.”

The task of combing through a sea of “crappy” wrinkle removal creams may seem a bit daunting, but with a little information & an ounce of determination, you won’t have any problem finding the cream you need.

Anti-Aging Skin Care: What You Need To Know

Understanding how the body ages is the first step in identifying the most effective practices for anti-aging skin care. If you are aware of what causes the skin to age, it is far easier to find the appropriate products. Your knowledge will arm you with the confidence to choose products with the right ingredients to fulfill your skin care needs. This is always a better option than blindly following what everyone else is doing.

There are three main reasons and causes of wrinkles and aging skin.

The first cause of aging skin is something called oxidization. This occurs as we age because molecules in our body begin to become unstable. Known as free radicals, these molecules have a significant impact on our cell behavior and have been attributed with all sorts of illnesses. Antioxidants are one of the biggest weapons to combat the damage caused by free radicals. So, any product you choose to use needs to replenish and instill antioxidants into the skin.

The second greatest reason for aging skin is the reduction in our bodies ability to produce collagen and elastin. Collagen and elastin are the building blocks of healthy, firm skin. This includes it’s connection to facial tissues and bone. With the aging process the ability of the body to produce elastin and collagen is greatly diminished. This leaves us with thinner, less firm skin.

Third, the production of hyaluronic acid which is responsible for regulating the growth and renewal process of our skin slows. This causes our skin to appear more aged, dry, and more wrinkled.

These three causes of wrinkles and aging skin need to be considered when buying skin care products. If you are not addressing these and making sure that the ingredients in the products you use are able to address these skin factors, then you are not getting the maximum results possible from your skin care.

In sum, you want to make sure you choose products that are able to fight back the signs of aging by focusing on ending and replenishing these causes of aging.

new-year-resolutionsEach New Year brings a new opportunity to establish new goals.  From weight loss to making more money, there is an opportunity to reset the clock and start anew.  If you’re like me, it all sounds good for about a month or so.  But, then life happens and you look up one day and realize it’s time to try again for the next year.

Lack of motivation and accountability are two main reasons it’s hard to stick to New Year’s resolutions.  Fortunately, though, a new site has launched to not only address these factors but help make resolutions more attainable.

GoalForIt is a free online resource that allows users to track their New Year’s resolutions.  Designed with a community focus, you can set, manage and record progress of your goals.  And, if you make your profile public, you can collaborate with others.  This collaboration provides you with the much-needed accountability and motivation to actually achieve what you set out for at the start of the New Year.

For me, Looking Divine in 2009 will be my primary goal.  I’ll need to lose some weight (and keep it off), get fit and maintain a serious skincare regimen.  GoalForIt will be a good way to track my progress.

What Are Your Goals For 2009?
